Beeswax Sheets

Beeswax sheets

Beeswax sheets are sheets of beeswax that have been rolled thin and embossed with hexagonal cells. One of the easiest ways to make candles involves using sheets of wax for creating rolled candles. Unlike other candle making methods all you need is a knife to cut the wax and a source of heat such as a hairdryer to make the wax soft and pliable.

How to Make Rolled Beeswax Candles

  1. Place the sheet on a clean, flat surface and heat one side with a hairdryer for a few seconds until the wax is soft and pliable.
  2. Taking note of the burn direction of the wick, lay a wick along one edge of the beeswax sheet, leaving a small portion sticking out at the end.
  3. Start to roll the beeswax sheet applying gentle pressure to ensure a secure roll and continue rolling until you reach the other end. Gently press the edge of the sheet into the candle to seal the edge.
  4. Trim the wick leaving approximately 6mm above the top of the candle.
