Delivery & Returns Information
We aim to dispatch your order as quickly as possible. Delivery times vary throughout the busy season but it usually takes 1 – 3 working days. Orders placed before 12 pm usually ship the same day. For same day dispatch, you should order as early as possible to allow preparation of your order before collection by the courier.
Occasionally, due to a large volume of orders, we may not be able to dispatch your order on the same day. If your order is urgent, please check with us before.
You should expect to receive your order within 1 to 3 working days. Our couriers are extremely busy during November and December. Please allow extra time for delivery during this time. We do not offer guaranteed next day delivery. Our couriers deliver between 8 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays. Please include a phone number which you can be contacted by the courier during these hours.
Like every other internet or mail order retailer, we have no control over problems that occur in transit that lead to delays in delivery of your order. Whilst we completely understand the frustration that delays cause, we cannot be held responsible for any delays caused by 3rd party couriers and therefore cannot offer discounts or compensation for delays in delivery.
Please ensure your Eircode is entered correctly when ordering. We will not be responsible if your order is delivered to the wrong address because of an incorrect Eircode.
Couriers require a signature for delivery. Someone must be at your delivery address to sign for your parcel. In the event the courier cannot contact the recipient by phone or the courier does not hear from the recipient within 24 hours, your parcel will be returned to us and you will be liable for re delivery costs.
Damaged item or missing parts when you receive your order :
Once your item has been delivered you should check the contents of your order immediately for any missing parts or damage and notify us within 14 days of any issues, if you fail to notify us within this time but then later contact us regarding an issue you will not be eligible for a refund and we will supply parts in order to rectify any damage or offer a repair at our discretion. Please note that is it your responsibly to check your order is correct and undamaged once it has been delivered, even if the item is being stored for a time before use it should be checked to make sure it is all present and in working order within 14 days of delivery.
When your order is dispatched, you will receive an email providing you with a tracking number and a link to track your order ( orders placed online only). You will be kept up to date on where your order is during the delivery process and be notified by email when your order is out for delivery. If you don’t receive this email, please check your spam / promotions folder as they often end up there.
On large orders including large honey extractors, we typically use a haulage company to deliver the items to you. We do not have live tracking with this but you should expect to receive your order within 1- 2 working days after receiving notification your order has been completed.
Orders are delivered by courier at a rate of €7.50 per parcel weighing up to 30 kg. Bulky items such as polystyrene hives, large extractors and assembled hives may incur extra charges.
Free shipping on qualifying orders of beekeeping supplies over €160.
Free Shipping Exclusions
Orders containing bee food, polystyrene hives/nucs and wired varroa mesh are excluded from free shipping.
You can also place your order online and choose to collect from us by ticking the click and collect box at the checkout. After placing the order, please wait for an email confirming your order is complete. Orders can be collected from us Monday to Saturday between 9 and 5 pm or at the locations below if specified. Please allow sufficient time to prepare your order.
- Dingle farmers market (Fridays 9 am to 2 pm) – Order before 3pm on Thursday
- Tralee farmers market (Saturdays 9 am to 1 pm) – Order before 1 pm on Friday
- Castlegregory farmers market (Sundays June to September ) – Order before 3 pm on Saturday
You have 14 days from the day the goods were delivered to you to get a full refund.
The returned items must be unused, in the state you received them and in the original packaging.
To return the items, please notify us in advance by email and wait for further instructions. A return form, sent to you after notification, must be filled out completely and sent with the returned goods. Items must be returned within 14 days of a return form being sent to you.
Unless the goods are damaged / faulty or sent in error, return carriage costs are the customer’s responsibility. If your order qualified for free shipping when ordered, the cost of returning the goods still stands.
Refund orders originally sent out with free shipping will have the original shipping cost deducted from the refund.
When returning an item, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchase shipping insurance. We can’t be held responsible for any products you return that go missing.
We do not accept returns on these items:
- Fragrance oils
- Soy wax
- Assembled frames fitted with wired foundation
- Sale or clearance items
All returned items must be packaged properly.
All goods returned to us are thoroughly inspected. If we discover goods have been used, part are missing, not returned in their original packaging or there has been a loss in the value of the goods while in your care or while being returned to us, we will reduce the amount being refunded which may amount to the full cost of the product to cover the loss of the value of the goods.
Damaged in transit
If you received goods that have been damaged in transit, we will obviously replace them at no cost to you. If it happens, please refuse the delivery or sign the delivery note saying the goods have arrived damaged. Email us as soon as possible with pictures or videos that show the damage as clearly as possible. It might take up to 48 hours before we come back to you with further instructions.
Faulty/damaged products returned
If we send goods that are either faulty or incomplete, we will either replace or repair them at no cost to you. If this happens, please contact us by email as soon as possible. We will send you a return acknowledgement email with further instructions.
Please ensure that the item you return is complete with all the accessories, manuals and packaging. Failure to do so may lead to a reduction in the amount refunded to you. Once we receive the items, we will test it. If it is found to be faulty, we will either repair it or send you a replacement as soon as possible. If it’s found not to be faulty, we will return the item at your expense.
When you receive goods from us, you have a statutory right that allows you to cancel the order up to 7 working days after the goods were delivered. You will be under a duty to return them to us at your own risks and cost. You should return the product to us unused, in sale-able condition and in the original product’s packaging,
We will refund the price paid as soon as possible, but not later than 30 days from notifications that you want to return the goods. This notification must be in writing and will not be accepted in the form of a telephone call only.
Where products are supplied, damaged, incorrect or faulty, we will either replace the item or issue a full refund within 30 days of notice. We may request goods to be returned for inspection prior to agreeing to any refund at your cost. If goods are confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, we will refund any carriage cost incurred in returning the goods.
